No one: Literally nobody: The cast: EMMAS 2000 BOOKS. Little women amy. Little women"s clothing. Little women 2017. It looks good and with a good cast, I hope it doesn"t overglorify women again and people should remember that this is set a few hundreds years back, not in our time.

In all my life I never completely connected with any character on screen. As a kid growing up I rewrote the story of movies and their characters in my head to fit me into them, some of my “favorite” movies are my favorite because when I watch them a completely different story runs along with it in my head. When I saw Gretas film in theaters, it rang my soul when Jo slumps into the couch and says I never got over not being born a man (or whatever the line is) and every few scenes after that the volume on that feeling would turn up. Up and up until the attic scene with Marmy and my heart busted like a light bulb with too much electricity rushing through it. I think I cried, I cant even remember because I was so engaged with the film. I have never felt so fully expressed by a film, it was a feeling I never knew existed. This movie will forever be a joy in my life that I can run back to. Thanks Gerwig, thanks Alcott.

The false narrative of blacks and whites socializing together in Concord Massachusetts in the mid nineteenth century is ridiculous: a scene with blacks and whites at a dance in Concord. Really? Then in another scene of the busy N.Y.C. streets, they are shown dressed in fine clothing. I wish our history was as egalitarian as that at that time or even 100 years later. Another incongruous detail is in the attic of the so-called poor March family. This is where the March sisters put on their improvized skits. On the wall of the attic is an elaborate curtain arrangement, when one of the sisters couldn"t afford the fabric for a new dress.
Then at the end when Jo March had become a successful author, she opened a progressive school, that was shown to be integrated. If you want to believe that, look at the history of even the very liberal and progressive Oberlin College, which had its own resistance to racial integration throughout the nineteenth century.
Let"s not sugar coat history to make the story line more compelling.

Its a shame that saoirse and timothée dont dance like them. This was just one thing that maked this version so natural and unique. Anyway. Its just my favourite version of the story and I love it so much.
